The snow melted early this year--around the end of January, after we got a huge amount of snow very early in the month, it began to melt off. The snow was completly gone by March, which is a month earlier than usual. This cut off our sled season really early, (it's a terrible idea to sled in blotchy, patchy snow!) and so there wasn't much to do outside. During February and March, we met several times but had no entire-club meetings or activites.
Late March brought Spring Break, and since then, we have had only one club activity and one partial meeting, since the school year begins to pick up the pace this time of year. Since the Club began January 2014, it has been probably the longest club-hiatus ever without members being out of town. Our one activity was the West Valley Parking Lot Sale, which turned out better than last year, and kick-started our club budget. We now have a fancy coin-counter jar to put our budget in.
We recently learned that one of our members, our lawmaker, will soon be moving out of town. We will miss you! Keep in touch, and come back and visit us often!:(
We also have a minor injury--Our vice-president has been in a leg brace and crutches for two weeks, and will be in it for another week. Ouch! She injured it during gym class, when someone kneed her in the leg. That must have hurt!:| Feel better soon, Horselover!
So it's been an uneventful few months for the club, but a very eventful few months for our individual members. Summer is right around the corner, though! Get ready for a very eventful summer!

Thank you, Horsefanatic, for that blog post on horses. The club is into horses and various other livestock. Two of the members own horses, while each of the remaining four have some sort of an animal.
Early fall has kept us all busy, but our late fall clander is looking pretty open. The first snowy weekend we hope, is coming soon so we can get our sleds out. Until then, hunting season is in its peak, and some of us are looking forward to that. As the weather gets colder but there is no snow, our main options for fun activties are hiking, biking, and hunting.
Some of us also attended church together recently and had a great time!
Now its time for individual members' updates
Earlybird is doing NaNoWriMo, and trying to write a novel within a month. Toadee has finished up with football and is now playing basketball. Horsefanatic is working with his team, although not playing on it. Sir Benjamin the first recently got a trio of goats. Ballerina and Mickayla are both keeping up with busy schedules!
We hope snow flies soon, bringing us into sledding season!

We got to go to the fair together, and most things went as planned. We
-Showed animals (Mickayla and Sir Benjamin the first)
-Looked at animals
-Won hermit crabs and fish from playing midway games
We had a lot of fun and stayed for hours!
Other things we did since the last blog update I posted
-Hung around with horses (We got to pet babies!)
-Discussed having a walkie-talkie communication system
We had lots of fun these past few weeks. Now, in the last few weeks of summer, most of us are either quite busy trying to cram in everything we need to get done before school and Fall, or we are on vacation. Earlybird and Ballerina are going to family camp and take swim lessons, and Horselover and toadee are off on vacation. The next time we can get together is probably around August 30th, and then we will post our Early Autumn plans.

First, We got a new member! she is the lawmaker. However, she is away for the summer, but will probably will be back in time for the County fair this August! The parking lot sale was a success! We didn't make money though; we broke even. We wil do it again next year, with more planning before hand. We sold homemade dog treats (Much loved by very dog who tasted them!) and homemade horse treats (Loved by most of the horses who tried them). Shh! We also sampled both kinds of treats! Our verdict? Neither were too bad!. We also sold chocolate chip cookies, tropical punch kool-aide, books, used video games, and more!
Summer is a quiet time for the club, but a busy one for families, so we were all busy or away for much of June. We will have a less busy summer from July on!

The Fun Activites Club finished off the winter with a trip to the ski hill! Everyone had a great time and wants to go again next winter!
It's now well into springtime, and the Fun Activities Club has been done with sledding. The only snow left would take a long hike up in the wilderness to get to...so we're starting our spring activities!
We are doing some bike riding and hiking, and will hopefully get to do more soon.
Other Spring Plans: Participating in a giant garage sale/swap meet sometime in May! Stop by our stand--more details later!
Earlybird and Ballerina may be adding a new hen (production red) and a rooster (Also production red) to thier flock of currently seven hens of varied breed.

Summer Plans so far: We are entering animals into the county fair, probably in August. Earlybird is entering her Orpington hen, ballerina her Easter Egger hen, horselover may be entering her horse, and racerguy is considering borrowing an animal to show.
